The Bath Works

Wellness

Steam and sauna, built into the room.

Two specifications we design into the bathroom in the same brief as the tile and the tap.

There is a working steam room on display at our Poole showroom, so the fittings, the bench and the finish can be seen in person rather than read off a page.

A spa room with a timber-framed sauna and a marble-lined steam room set side by side behind glazed doors, tall banana plants either side, a square sunken plunge pool in the concrete floor in the foreground and a slatted timber bench on a bed of pebbles

Steam

Steam, built into the envelope.

Domestic-scale. Built into the bathroom envelope. We specify the generator, the gradient, the door seal, the seat.

A steam room lined in white marble with gold and grey veining. A slim wall-mounted unit is faced in the same marble with a vent slot along one edge, so it sits almost flush with the wall, beside a tiled bench lit from underneath
A compact timber sauna cabin with a glazed door, two-tier benches and warm strip lighting inside, standing against a pale wall patterned with leaf shadows, with a large-leaved plant in the foreground, a small tree in a pot beside it and a white dome lamp on the floor

Sauna

Sauna, wood-lined or panelled.

Wood-lined or panelled. Single-person or two-person. We work with traditional and infrared sauna manufacturers.
