Marble-effect
Twin basins, marble-effect walls.
A full wall of fitted furniture, and a freestanding bath under leaded glass.
The room
A large bathroom finished wall to wall in marble-effect porcelain, with a fitted furniture run, a walk-in shower and a freestanding bath.
The furniture takes the whole length of one wall: base cupboards at either end, a wall-hung double vanity in the middle carrying a one-piece top with two moulded bowls, and a full-height cupboard beyond. Two frameless mirrors sit above it and a recessed alcove with glass shelves breaks the run.
Wall tile is large-format porcelain, off-white with warm gold and grey veining, taken to full height in the wet areas and to dado height elsewhere. Underfoot it is wood-effect plank porcelain in a warm mid-oak, which keeps the room from reading cold.
The shower is a walk-in, two frameless panels braced to the ceiling on slim chrome rods, with a built-in bench seat and an illuminated niche on the wall beside the WC. The bath is freestanding, filled from a mixer mounted on its own deck, and stands under obscure-glazed leaded windows.
